Hepburn Springs
| Daylesford is a great alternative to going to the beach on a warm day. The region has an olympic size swimming pool, two lakes full to the brim with boat hire available, and nearly all accommodation is air-conditioned. Hepburn Springs is reknowned for it's spa and massage especially through the Hepburn Spa Resort. It is a twin town to Daylesford, but stands on it's own for luxury accommodation, wide variety of dining and abundance of spa facilities. Hepburn Springs is a town of steep hills set within a bush setting. The advantage being that most accommodation will offer an interesting view. The Hepburn Mineral Springs Reserve (where the Hepburn Spa Complex is located) offers many tracks through the beautiful natural bushland. It offers spa pumps to try the natural mineral water, a childrens playground, picnic areas and barbeques. Hepburn Springs has a proud Swiss - Italian heritage which can be seen in the architecture and some of the festivals throughout the year. The lavender farm Lavendula celebrates this history with gardens, a lavender harvest festival and cafe/restaurant. The town is becoming more sophisticated in recent years with an increase in shopping, up market spas and restaurants. Hepburn Springs offers visitors a quality destination at any time of year. |
