Brisbane is the capital of Queensland with a population rapidly approaching 2 million. It is the third largest city in Australia. Brisbane has magnificent waterfront views with a very exciting nightlife scene, loads of restaurants and a climate of sun and fun, you will want to spend more than a few days here. A trip to Brisbane must take in South Bank with it's wealth of fine dining, exclusive shopping and Australia's only beach in the middle of a city.

Eskdale B&B
Old Brisbane houses are special. Like those built elsewhere in the northern half of Australia, they're raised above the ground on stumps. They have wooden walls and a corrugated iron roof, high ceilings, a verandah on the front for shade and a central hall to catch the breeze.

Aynsley Bed &  Breakfast
Aynsley is an early 1900s recently renovated Queenslander - wake up to birdsong in a quiet street, yet be in the heart of cosmopolitan Paddington. A few minutes stroll away is an eclectic mix of cafes, fashion boutiques, antique shops and galleries - and a bus direct to the city.

Bed and Breakfast accommodation (including Guesthouse accommodation) was traditionally for hosted accommodation offering one or several rooms with or without an ensuite and a hot breakfast the next morning.  In recent years the lines have blurred as many places not offering breakfast or leaving a ingredients for you to cook yourself are calling themselves Bed and Breakfast.  In our view a Bed and Breakfast should be hosted and should provide a cooked breakfast. It would pay to ask what you are getting before you book.
