Exercising postures or asanas in Hatha Yoga strengthen the body and increase flexibility. These ancient yoga postures (which incorporate yogic or diaphragmatic breathing) are used to focus the mind and bring about a meditative state and increase energy and health. Many western yoga styles have developed as an exercise program to increase flexibility and give physical relaxation without delving into the Eastern Philosophy. Choose a yoga style to suit you.
