Gailes Golf Club
Situated on the western outskirts of Brisbane, on the Ipswich Road, and celebrated its 75th anniversary in 1999. Gailes is an attractive, long course, with interesting bunkers, and minimal water. It has excellent drainage and is arguably the best wet weather course in Brisbane. Visitors are always welcome.

Queensland Golf Club
Established in 1920 at Hamilton on mangrove swamp land with sand dredged from the Brisbane River, and was only the second golf course to be established in the city of Brisbane. The Club was granted its Royal Charter in 1921 by King George V, with the official letter of notification to the Governor of Queensland being signed by one Winston S Churchill.
