Hygiene is a very important part of massage therapy. Over a year massage linen can be used hundreds of time – but is it really clean? Although there is considerable debate over the use of mineral oil it is a very good lubricant, many clients prefer it and it is much easier to get out of linen. Water soluble oil has become very popular with massage therapists but those using sheets as well as towels will notice it does not appear to completely clean the linen.

Natural oils like almond can be quite difficult to remove from your towels in a normal wash. Even with detergents designed for the massage profession it can be difficult to remove natural oils in domestic laundering. Another concern is s pontaneous ignition. The heating and drying can leave residue which can self-heat and spontaneously ignite.

To maintain your linen in top condition commercial laundering is a necessity. It is reasonable priced and convenient (most will pick up and deliver), especially if you take your precious time in to account.
